This footpath rises steeply uphill from Fulston to the hamlet of Hollinhouse, once a well used ancient route barely wide enough for one car. The hamlet of Hollinhouse now comprises half a dozen houses, none of the 16th century dwellings have survived. These houses date from the industrial revolution, which started about 1760.

The Robuck's would have marvelled at the street light you can just see, no doubt putting it down to witchcraft. The answer to the next question is no!
