This is a photo of the Roebuck Inn and Resaurant, at Roebuck Low; at the bottom end of Shilo Lane. This was the favourite eating and drinking place of the Roman Legionnaires circa 100AD. I have it on good authority that the quality of the beer was not the reason for their sudden departure.
